Here at Alpha Chi Omega, education is a top priority. We work together as we constantly strive to achieve our full academic potential, while maintaining a GPA above the University of Oregon's all-women's average. Spring term 2010, Alpha Chi Omega ranked fourth out of all the sororities with a GPA average of 3.19! Our Vice President of Intellectual Development is there to help any members who seek extra assistance for a class. She does everything from individual encouragement to setting up tutoring sessions with members in that major or even with professionals. We form study groups as well as reserve multiple weekly library rooms to support fellow sisters in need of a helping hand. We set chapter wide goals for each term and create the necessary opportunities to accomplish them collectively.
The ladies of Alpha Kappa also work to establish relationships with university staff by participating in events such as "Apple Pie at Alpha Chi," in which professors are invited to the chapter house for dessert and a tour. Also, guest speakers come to the chapter house several times a year to present on a variety of subjects, including finance and personal health.
